Again God in his infinite wisdom has called from us a most loving father, kind brother, faithful son, and good citizen. Mr. John Switzer at the age of 52 years passed silent and peaceful away at his home last Wednesday morning. Through his illness he made not a murmur, and patiently waited till God sent his death angel to bear his soul safely home. He leaves a dear wife, seven children, a kind mother, two brothers, one sister, and a host of friends to mourn his loss. Interment was at Wesley Cemetery last Friday. Though his body is laid to rest not far from us, there is a vacant chair which never can be filled. But why weep? His life is ended, his work and toil is over, and is now resting in that beautiful mansion which Christ went long years ago to prepare for him. His feet have only trod the path our feet will have to tread, his work is over where perhaps ours has just commenced; his soul has entered the pearly gates, which if we live like him, will be opened for us, and what is our earthly loss is his eternal gain. -s
